Category creation problem for "Events"

Hi,
I need help with a problem that occurs in the creation of categories. Screenshot available: http://www.screencast.com/t/vKmXLnqdIxt

1) If I create categories from that panel, they will not appear inside the Event post. (moreover they are not hierarchy).
2) So to be able to use them, I create them from inside the Event post ( screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/VSPoIBDNl ), but from here I cannot customize the “slug” of the category.

Anyone knows how to solve this trouble?

Do you mean that the categories are not hierarchical on the front facing pages?
