I am having a tough time figuring out the background colors on the actual calendar.
I went to settings and said yes for CSS for categories, and I have gone in and created a different color for each category. Trouble is, that on the calendar itself, the top category buttons are the colors, but not the actual events themselves. The are just transparent. I want each event, depending on the category, to be a different color. Can you please help?

Hi there,
Are the events assigned to a single category or multiple?
If you go to Event Espresso -> Calendar -> Enable CSS for Categories
That should be enabled.
Then go to Advanced settings (tab at the top of the page)
At the bottom of the page should the option ‘Disable Categories?’
Make sure that is set to No and save.
