Hi, I have a page: https://essa.org.uk/book/ where the event categories are shown. They all look the same, whether a category has been selected or not. Is it possible to show which event category is selected by, for example, shading it in a different background? I looked at the source code hoping to be able to pick up a different class and colour it using css but they are all the same.
Further, is there a way to de-select all categories so that all events are shown, without refreshing the page?

Hi there,

You can assign each category a different background color by going to Event Espresso > Events > Categories, then edit a category and set “Use Custom Category Color” to Yes and set a unique background color. Then repeat for each category.

Then go to Event Espresso > Calendar and set “Enable CSS for Categories” to Yes.

You might also try setting “Enable Filters in Calendar” to Yes, that option displays a dropdown selector so it’s more evident which category is selected.
