Capping Total Ticket Sales With Multiple Ticket Options

I can see how to create multiple types of tickets for a single event and I can create a cap on how many of each can be sold.

For example:
The event has a maximum of 10 attendees (tickets) and various options are set up;
Ticket Type A = 1 Ticket
Ticket Type B = 2 Tickets
Ticket Type C = 4 Tickets

I could cap Type A to 10, Type B to 5 and Type C to 2 but that would mean potentially 28 tickets could be sold when only 10 are available.

Is it possible to create an cap on the total number of tickets sold, not just on the number of individual types of tickets?

Yes you set the date time reg limit to cap the total number of tickets sold.

Thanks Josh,

I can see the mistake I was making.

I thought ticket Qty field was for how many of that TYPE of ticket could be sold rather than the number of tickets to be allocated against the limit.

Hi John,

The ticket qty field is for the qty of that specific ticket type, however the tickets are assigned to a datetime, the datetime is the ‘instance’ of the event so that’s the overall limit. So with a datetime limit of 10 you can only register 10 of any of the tickets assigned to that datetime.
