I am wondering if it possible to offer multiple events for a single venue, and depending on which event is booked by the user (seating limit of 1) then the other potential events would be blocked for that venue? So for instance, a user could add a predefined event for a venue at a certain time and that would block other users from creating an event at that venue during that time (like reserving that venue for that time)?

Hi Kyle,
Event Espresso doesn’t have these capabilities. There is some work being done on a front-end user submitted event creator, but it will not have the capability to block off venues.
