Currently running a 4.2.2 WP site with EE v4.6.3i, calendar(4.3+) v3.2.3 and Stripe Gateway v1.0.6. WordPress is prompting me of the updates, and I try to update using the “Update Now” link. It will update to successful, but once I refresh the page it returns to the previous version and prompts that it needs to be updated. I have also tried to manually uploaded the updated zip file, but then the plugin fails to activate. Please advise. Thanks! |
EE v4.6.3i – Just to confirm, should that be 4.6.3.p?
When updating manually are you following these steps: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/#update_manually Please note you can ignore the last steps ‘Navigate to Event Espresso>Template Settings>Developer’ as this does not apply to EE4. |

Thanks for the reply Tony. Yes, the version is in fact 4.6.31.p. I have pasted the info below directly from the admin update page: Event Espresso I will try the steps to update manually and see if that works. |

Thought I would add a bit more info about the error trying to auto update. I get this message: The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient. Enabling Maintenance mode… Updating Plugin Event Espresso (1/1) |
Hi Aaron, There are two possible reasons why it’s not letting you update: 1) The server is running low on disk space. 2) You site is hosted on a Windows server. It turns out that we do not support running Event Espresso on a Windows server. Here’s some more information regarding the error you reported when it’s related to running WordPress on a Windows server: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-on-iis-7-plugin-update-problem?replies=33 http://forums.iis.net/t/1169832.aspx I can advise contacting the host and ask them to check the disk space and ask them if they can move your site onto a LAMP (apache) or LNMP (nginx) server stack. This way your site will run on a supported platform and you can avoid issues like this one. |
