I can create a new event, but when I go to select Event Start and Event End dates, it only allows me to select today’s date. It does not allow me to select any days in the future or past. A pop-up window appears with the calendar view, but even that won’t close on its own.

Does the date selector work if you temporarily deactivate all other WordPress plugins?

I found the issue with the plugin “Woo Sale Revolution:Flash Sale + Dynamic Discounts”. Once I turned it off, all was fine.
