Can't seem to update our Event Expresso wordpress plugin…

In my client’s wordpress admin plugin page, it says the following:

A new version of Event Espresso is available. View What’s New with version 3.1.37.6.P. A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. The key you have entered is invalid or has expired. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.

I’ve logged into my account and the license key seems valid and up to date so how do I get the new version of the Event Expresso plugin? The current plugin version we are on is 3.1.37.1.P and our wordpress version is the latest (4.4.1)

Hi Susan,

The account that you are writing from does not have an active support license. It expired last year.

Did your client get their own account with a support license? If not and they are using your account, then you would need to renew your support license to restore support services for the site. This is the support license that was previously on the account:

If you think their may be another account with an active support license, then please get in touch via our contact page and we’ll run some searches to locate that account:

Hi Lorezo. Thank you for your prompt reply and sorry for my delay in getting back to you. I am confused as to what the difference is between EE3 and EE4 as products go. We are currently EE3 I believe so wouldn’t I want to purchase another EE3 license? Can you explain to difference between the two products (EE3 and EE4) please?

Hi Susan,

The link in my reply should have taken you to the business support license page for Event Espresso 3 (https://eventespresso.com/product/business-license/). That is the support license that was previously on the account prior to it expiring.

Yes, please revert to the license for EE 3 and not 4. For some reason, we didn’t see that link. If you can switch to the 1 site EE license for $99.95 and we can pay the balance that would be ideal. How do we go about doing that?
