Hi There. I want to use Beta 4 – but I can’t seem to make a list of events. When I use [EVENT_LIST category_identifier=kidworkshops] nothing comes up. When I use [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”kids workshops”] it shows everything and its too long for the page where I want to have many classes.
I want my list to look like this – https://www.artfulpossibilitiesspringhill.com/class-registration/

Hi Jean,
If you want the event list to look like Event Espresso 3 then the simple option right now is to run Event Espresso 3. If that’s not an option, then the current option is to modify the Event Espresso 4 templates to look like Event Espresso 3.

How can I get the espresso 4 to look like a simple list? Is there no simple way to do that? What is the difference between Event_list and Espresso_Events?

Hi Jean,
Currently there isn’t a way to make the events in EE 4 look like a simple list unless you’re comfortable with editing PHP files. EE 4 will eventually have some features that will allow for simpler event lists.
The difference between [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] and [EVENT_LIST] is [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] displays a list of events in Event Espresso 4, and [ESPRESSO_LIST] displays a list of events in Event Espresso 3. [EVENT_LIST] isn’t used in Event Espresso 4.
