I’m testing our registration page, and when I try to register another person from the same computer, the new registration replaces the registration done previously from that same computer. I am changing the first and last names, email addresses… all info gathered on the form.

Does this mean that registrations are based on IP address or something? Is there a way around this?

Here is my info:
WordPress version: 3.6
Event Espresso version:
Basically a new installation, though I just upgraded it to
Registration page link:

Hi Lucinda,

While the registrations are not based on an IP address, they are limited to one session to prevent unintended duplicate registrations.

The session will clear when you go all the way through and complete the registration by either paying via the gateway, or if you’re offering one of the offline options like Check/Money Order you click the Complete Your Registration link on the payment overview page.

Once the session clears you can start a new registration from the same browser.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for your help! I was just figuring that out, once I started testing with PayPal Sandbox and completing payment. I guess you have to pick the lesser of two evils: unintentional duplicate registrations or possible lost registrations. Personally, I’d probably opt for duplicate registrations so as to not lose any. But as long as I know what’s going on, I can deal with it.

Thanks again!
