I had event Espresso running fine then I de-activated it for 2 months and I am trying to activate it again. I am receiving this error when trying to activate.

Warning: fopen(D:\home\mysite.com\wwwroot/wp-content/uploads/espresso/logs/espresso_log.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in D:\home\mysite.com\wwwroot\wp-content\plugins\event-espresso.3.1.20.P\class\espresso_log.php on line 33

First off, that’s an old version of Event Espresso. You’ll want to upgrade.

The error is referencing a log file in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/logs/ that can be deleted. It looks like your server doesn’t have the proper permissions to write to that file and the activation is failing (because it’s trying to write debug data to the file).
