Can't Open Invoice PDF Document – File Damaged

When downloading the Invoice PDF from the Transactions screen in backend or from the invoice screen on the front end – the file does download, but cannot be opened.

Adobe Reader shows the following Error

There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.

Tested in Chrome and Firefox. It worked when we originally set up the event 5 weeks ago, but since then our shared hosting as been updated to replace Apache with Litespeed. Any ideas how to fix?

Hi,

We have seen this before (https://eventespresso.com/topic/broken-pdf-and-number-of-attendees/).

Can you check to see if your server has “ini_set” disabled? If it is, then it will need to be enabled.

oK – I checked CPanel and saw our php version was set to native 5.5 following Litespeed upgrade so I changed it to non-native version 5.5 and PDF now works.
