I followed the instructions for upgrading to EE4. Deactivated EE3, uploaded the new EE4 plugin, and never got a screen for migrating data. It went straight to the live version of the plugin, with maintenance off. When I did it on my local environment it worked correctly.
I reverted back to the database pre-update and ran through the same steps again with the exact same results. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Hi Jenny,
The Event Espresso 4 migration scripts were written and tested for migrating from EE 3.1.36.5. Can you try updating to 3.1.36 before migrating to Event Espresso 4?

Hmm, I don’t have a license for 3.1.36.5, since I purchased the plugin a while back. Is there any workaround?

You could try updating to the lite version of Event Espresso 3 first. Please be sure to make a backup of the database before this.

I just wanted to check that when updating with EE3 Lite you could then migrate your data and all is working?

Yes, switching to Lite, then EE4 worked!
