I installed JSON as suggested.
I see no Event Espresso>API menu anywhere showing up
I try to log into iphone app and it says Sorry cant log in, blog returned invalid data

1. WHAT IS THE ENDPOINT URL ?? (Why dont you make this easier to figure out?)

2. PLEASE HELP ME LOG IN.

3. Aside from the app and logging into wordpress, whats the easiest way to check in registrants who haven’t printed their tickets? We don’t want our employees to have access to our wordpress admin and this just isn’t very intuitive

PLEASE HELP
thanks
Jay

Hi, what version of Event Espresso are you currently using? The mobile apps are only available for Event Espresso 3.

If you are not seeing areas mentioned in the tutorials or documentation page, then you may be using Event Espresso 4.

Im using 4.7.9.p

Wait a minute..What!?!?! You’re telling me I can’t use the app or scanning unless I use an older version of the app? Why would you offer a newer version of an app that doesn’t have the features?

Should I downgrade my version? How am I suppose to easily check in people? I dont want our employees accessing our wordpress site

Hi, mobile apps are not available in Event Espresso 4 and add-ons for Event Espresso 3 will not work with Event Espresso 4. Add-ons for Event Espresso 3 will only be compatible with Event Espresso 3.

If mobile apps are critical to your project, then we recommend going with Event Espresso 3 instead:

You have access to Event Espresso 3 under your support license and your employees will be able to check in attendees/registrants by using the mobile app for Android or iOS.

Are you not going to be offering mobile support for ee4? Why would you release it if it wasn’t ready?
What features would I lose out by going from 4 to 3?

The check in process is very non-intuitive.

Also, why are people who have not been approved or cancelled still listed on the check in page?

Are you not going to be offering mobile support for ee4?

You can still scan tickets via mobile apps, but we do not have a dedicated ticketing app for EE4.

See here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-use-a-mobile-device-to-scan-ee4-tickets/

Why would you release it if it wasn’t ready?

EE4 was/is ready for release, which is why we released it.

If we waited to fit every use case for EE4 before we released it, we would never release a version 🙂

EE4 includes more features than EE3, just not the exact same feature set.

You can see a comparison be EE3 and EE4 here:

https://eventespresso.com/differences-ee4-ee3/

The check in process is very non-intuitive.

Can you provide some feedback as to what you don’t like about the check-in process?

Also, why are people who have not been approved or cancelled still listed on the check in page?

Cancelled registrations should not be included on the check-in list, although Incomplete registration may be. This is to allow the Admin to find the user and decied what to do when they try to check in.
