Can't insert NextGEN image gallery into event

I’m trying to insert an image gallery into an event. If I click NextGEN’s ‘Add gallery’ button then nothing happens. If I insert the shortcode directly into the code view, then it get stripped out.

Is there any way of getting the gallery to work with Event Espresso?

Hi there,

Currently, in the code within NextGEN they specifically target the default WP routes and as EE doesn’t use those routes their scripts are not loading on the event editor which is why clicking the button does nothing.

So for NextGEN to work as normal, they’ll need to add at lest a filter which can be used to override the check used to confirm if you are editing a post/page.

However, it is possible to add NextGEN shortcodes to EE events, you’ll need to add them in text mode and save for them to work – https://monosnap.com/file/ngym4CDJ7qDfPcUoaSHSZx9oN9GXMS

The shortcode should then work.
