Can't insert images

I’m not able to Add Media or Add Featured Image to events.

When I click Add Featured Image, I select an image from Media Library — i then check the box next to the image name, then select Insert Selected Image at the bottom but the lightbox remains and nothing happens…

When I click on the Add Media button and select and image and click Insert Into Post, the lightbox goes away but nothing happens from there.

one other note, paragraph html tags keep getting inserted into my event body copy?

It sounds like there may be a conflict with your theme or another plugin. You can try testing for a theme conflict by temporarily switching to the default theme that ships with WordPress. If you still see the problem after switching themes, then you may want to try ruling out plugin conflicts, by temporarily deactivating all other plugins, then reactivating them one at a time until you can find the conflicting plugin.

I hope that helps. Please let us know what you find.

any suggestions on how to fix or where to look? common probems? I’d hate to tell my client your plugin won’t work with their custom theme after purchasing it…

thanks!

Are you getting any JavaScript errors? That is usually the primary cause. Another possibility is an outdated version of WordPress or the theme.

yes.

RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded [http://www.livingartsschool.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=events&action=edit&event_id=3:846]

WP and theme are up to date

thanks a lot!

i may have found the issue:

i removed these two lines from the themes functions.php

require_once(get_template_directory() .’/functions/meta/meta-box-class.php’);
require_once(get_template_directory() .’/functions/meta/meta-box-usage.php’);

that seemed to do the trick!

Hi,

I took a look at the site currently and the Theme still has a javascript error coming up, so it may affect Event Espresso and other plugins still.

I don’t think there’s an easy way to fix that without changing the code so you may want to refer to the developer of the theme. Also it is loading jQuery twice which is never advisable.
