When I go to my WordPress home page, I get the following message on my Dashboard: “As part of the process for updating Event Espresso, your database also needs to be updated. Event Espresso is in COMPLETE MAINTENANCE MODE (both WordPress admin pages and front-end event registration pages are disabled) until you run the database update script. Visit the Maintenance Page to get started, it only takes a moment.”
When I go to the maintenance page, I get this error: “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
I don’t get an email, but I am able to see the following in my error.log file:
[Sun Nov 10 09:51:39.383089 2024] [fcgid:warn] [pid 1267144:tid 140617998612032] [remote 73.51.211.115:56617] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught RuntimeException: Event Espresso Level 2 Maintenance mode is active. That means EE can not run ANY database queries until the necessary migration scripts have run which will take EE out of maintenance mode level 2. Please inform support of this error.
I’d very much like to run the update script, but apparently I need to read from the database first to run the update script? I feel like I’m in a Catch-22 here. Please advise!
