Hi I have installed the JSON API add on and do not see it in the event espresso menu anywhere…I have deleted and redownloaded and reinstalled and it is still not showing up…Where is it?!

So I am using EE4 and just realized that this doesn’t work with EE4? What is the best process for check in using EE4?

If the JSON API only works with EE3…can you explain to me why? So I can explain to my client…it seems like such a nice feature and I’m surprised it wouldn’t work with the more expensive version of this plugin…

Hi Nicki,
EE4 is complete re-write of the plugin from the ground up. No EE3 addon will work with EE4 as the code is simply too different (to use an old school analogy it’s like trying to use a Betamax in a VHS, they both look similar and do a similar thing, but the technology is just different).
We are currently working on re-writing the addons to work alongside EE4.
There is no timescale on when the API addon will be added to EE4 or even if it will be added. Right now our focus is on adding other core plugins such as discounting etc.
Also please note that while EE4 is in open beta, the cost is substantially cheaper than EE3.
