Can't find help

I apparently did something wrong somewhere. I have a personal licensing code for event espresso but when I created my account it never asked for it (I don’t think) So now everything is telling me to look at the forums for help, but I can’t access half the stuff on the forums because it says I need a licensing number which I already have.
