Hi. I have been trying to display my events according to category. I have read the documentations. It says not to replace the espresso events shortcode.. so what i have in my code is this:
[espresso_events]
[EVENT_LIST Category_identifier=”games-1381732274″]
still it displays all my events.

on one topic I read, it says to create a separate dummy game page that has the espreso events code but hides it from the menu. still, my original game page displays all events. please help. thanks

Hi Michael,

If you have a single page with both [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] and [EVENT_LIST], it will display both, so all events and then the filtered events for the [EVENT_LIST].

As such creating a separate new page and just have the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode and use that in your menus is a better way of doing it.

The page with [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] is still necessary, as the plugin uses it, but you don’t need to show that page to people (i.e. hide it from the menu).

Thanks Dean! It now worked on my end having it not included on the menu.
