I recently switched from Paypal to Stripe. The Stripe plugin / integration seems to be working fine, but after deactivating PayPal Commerce as a payment method users still see it as a payment option in the front-end.
Is there a way to get rid of it?

Hi there,
When you say you deactivated it, what exactly did you do to deactivate it?
If you go to Event Espresso -> Payment methods, there is a list of payment methosa along the top, is PayPal Commerce green there?

That’s the issue – it’s not green but it’s still rendering on the front end. I also activated and deactivated again to be sure.
Can it be filtered via a hook?

Looking at your site, for me PayPal Commerce isn’t loading at all.
PayPal Express and Stripe are loading, so I assume the above is a type and your referring to Express?
Can you see PayPal Express listed in the payment methods?
If not, update to the latest version of EE (5.0.34.p) and recheck, can you see PayPal Express then?
Can it be filtered via a hook?
Payment methods to display are filtered yes, they are passed to:
FHEE__EEM_Payment_Method__get_all_for_transaction__payment_methods
However, if they are set to be disabled but still displayed, then filtering to remove them is the wrong way to go about fixing this.
