Can't connect to EE app after migration

Hi,

I just migrated my website to a new host, and I’ve decided to point the domain to the new host rather than transferring it. I have changed the A line in the DNS zone and it successfully redirect to the new hosting.

Problem is, since then, it seems I can’t connect using the app with the pointed domain (comedietriomphe.fr)

Is there a way to get this to work or do I need t transfer the domain?

Hi there,

Just to be clear so I understand what you’ve done here, an A record doesn’t redirect, it points the domain to an IP address and if that is the IP of your new server it should work fine.

When you check the site in your browser are you going to the correct server?

Have you pinged the domain to confirm the IP?

Hi Tony,

Yes, I get to the right server.
I just made a reset request on Event Espresso’s key, because I am thinking this might be the problem? I thought that since the domain is the same, it would work!

The license key has no effect on functionality other than updates so that won’t be the issue.

Can you send me temp login details so I can try logging in with the app?

Are you using iSO or Android?

Logging in works fine for me on Android.

What exact string are you using in the website URL?

I use the android version.
I tried http://www.comedietriomphe.fr or https://www.comedietriomphe.fr and comedietriomphe.fr

Have you tested with the site taken out of maintenance mode?

Will run some tests re other thread about scanning speed and will update you on there.
