I just purchased EE 4.4.3.p for a brand new website and when I try to activate the Members Addon I get this error:

Warning: require_once(EVENT_ESPRESSO_PLUGINFULLPATHincludes/functions/database_install.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/salsalx/public_html/dating/wp-content/plugins/espresso-members/espresso-members.php on line 91

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘EVENT_ESPRESSO_PLUGINFULLPATHincludes/functions/database_install.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php55/lib/php’) in /home2/salsalx/public_html/dating/wp-content/plugins/espresso-members/espresso-members.php on line 91

Hi,

You hold an EE3 licence, so I assume you are trying to activate an EE3 plugin (WP User Integration) with EE4. Unfortunately EE3 addons are not compatible with EE4.

You can find all the available EE4 addons in your account page, under the EE4 tab.

Currently WP User Integration is not available for EE4 (there is an Alpha version, but it’s so new we haven’t officially released it even for testing).

I don’t understand. I purchased an EE4 license. I’m using the EE4 version of EE. Why do you say I have an EE3 license? How soon will the User Integration be available? It is essential to my business. And I need the EE4 features I paid $200 for so I can’t just downgrade. (Although I can’t understand why waiting list was taken out of EE4. That’s almost as important as User Integration for me.)

Okay I see where the purchase page says EE3 Business License now. But I can’t even find an EE4 license page. Where could I have bought it? Anyway, the EE4 files are available for me to download.

Hi,

EE4 is currently accessible to those with an EE3 licence, so you get access to both, but they are basically separate plugins (the code behind them is vastly different).
