We have a need to be able to be able to manually adjust the quantity of tickets available for any given ticket. I’m realizing that when I want to set the quantity of tickets to zero, this won’t save to the event. Can you help me understand why this is?

Our site uses the number of tickets on pages we’ve cusotmized to tell potential participants how much space is left in the course before they even click through to an event detail page. example (this is a live event):
We’re also doing this on event detail pages as well, which can be accessed from the page above, or from the calendar add-on.
We used ticket quantities instead of ‘limits’ on date/times for this, because we needed there to be a singular limit for courses with multiple date/times. I’m wondering how ‘expiring’ a ticket will change the way these ticket quantity values show up in these pages. Will it say ‘this ticket has expired’?
I think setting the quantity to less than the amount sold is a valid workaround for now. We’ll work with that. Can you let me know if this is an intended ‘feature’ when you chat with the dev team?
If you manually update the quantity for a ticket, then it will switch to soldout and appeared greyed-out.
Try duplicating this event.
Then register for a ticket and then go back and set the quantity to zero and save changes.
