Has anyone figured this out yet? https://eventespresso.com/topic/upcoming-event-showing-sold-out-2/ was all I could find.

Hi there,

Can you explain a bit about what you’re seeing on your site with regards to tickets being sold out and that being an issue?

Moszt of the events say sold out, even when not true. After reading the forum, apparently it is an issue.. and we need it fixed.

It was reported as an issue back in February, and there may have been a misunderstanding then. May I ask where on your website do the events say they are sold out? Can you share a URL so we can investigate further? Also, when the event sells out, about how many tickets are left? If you can share a screenshot of the ticket editor that will also help shed some light on the situation.

None of these events are sold out.. can’t even sell tickets to them. https://www.festivalhallga.com/shows_events/

Hi there,

It appears that within those events, they’re actually set to not sell tickets. Can you go into the event editor for those events and set the “Display Ticket Selector” option to Yes?

I did that for the first several.. they are still showing as sold out.

There is an issue with the Table View Template, which you are using on the above page, in which it will ‘Show out’ for events that do not have tickets available for other reasons (for example the ticket sales have all ended). That issue will be fixed in a future version of the template but it does not prevent your events from selling tickets.

On looking through your event list and clicking through to the event itself (unrelated to the table view template) the tickets are no available for sale on most of them, for example:

https://www.festivalhallga.com/events/jack-and-the-bean-stalk-performance/
https://www.festivalhallga.com/events/jack-and-the-beanstalk-registration/
https://www.festivalhallga.com/events/lake-country-players-3/

All show that ticket sales have ended which means all of the tickets available in your event have the ‘Sell until’ date set in the past – http://take.ms/X14Vf
(This will also trigger the ‘sold out’ message in the table view template)

Your other events such as:

https://www.festivalhallga.com/events/lake-country-players-4/
https://www.festivalhallga.com/events/oconee-performing-arts-society-event/
https://www.festivalhallga.com/events/lake-country-players-5/

Don’t appear to have the ticket selector set to display, it’s the ‘Display ticket selector’ option within each of the event options shown here –
http://take.ms/vDYz6

So using the ‘jack-and-the-bean-stalk-performance’ as an example, if you edit the event and set the ‘Sell Until’ date for at least 1 event into the future, update the event and then refresh the table above does it correctly show register?

Hi Spinbird,

Further to Tony’s reply above, the Ticket Sale end dates on your events need to be changed, specifically these dates:

Jack and the Bean Stalk Performance tickets have March 31, 2017 set for their sale end date. You can change that sale end date to July 1st and tickets will be on sale right up until the performance.

Lake Country Players for August 10 has a ticket sale end date December 18, 2016, so you’ll need to adjust that event’s ticket sale end date too. There’s a similar situation going on with the other upcoming Lake Country Players dates for November.

Rock’n Roll Cruise In for September 16 has a ticket sale end date December 25, 2016, so you’ll need to adjust that event’s ticket sale end date as well.

The Oconee Performing Arts Society Event for December 6 has a ticket sale end date December 25, 2016, the ticket sale end date for that event would be best be set to a date in early December 2017.

It seems that someone may have duplicated some of last years events and didn’t realize that when they duplicated an from a prior year they must also change the ticket sale end dates.
