Hi all – I’m trying to just get this plugin installed for the FIRST time and I’m getting this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare event_espresso_attendee_list() (previously declared in /MY_FILE_STRUCTURE/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-free/includes/shortcodes.php:131) in /MY_FILE_STRUCTURE/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/attendee_list.php on line 48

This is a brand new install and I don’t even have that directory in my file structure, so I’m not sure how itcould be throwing errors. We’re interested in using the premium version of this plugin, but if we can’t get the free version working…

BTW – a couple more details that may help:

WP 3.5.1
Running Standard Theme customized (no javascript or any other crazy additions though)
No other event plugins installed (tried others, but currently this is the only one activated and installed)
Everything else is up to date (plugins/core)

Really need to get this going and I appreciate your help!

Hi Rob,

It looks like you have already added templates to the wp-content/uploads/espresso directory, so it’s conflicting for some reason. I would rename that directory via FTP and it should resolve the fatal error.

Did you do some template modifications?

No template mods at all. I’ll check to see if my assistant had tried this one before and that file you mention is there.

Hi Rob,

Promotional codes are not available on the Lite version of Event Espresso, a premium licence is needed to open up that feature and many more features.
