Cannot Purchase Event Ticket

The Event appears, but you can no longer click on it to get the event details and to purchase the ticket. It stopped working when I updated event expresso.

The only error message I see is the following “The Atos gateway has been removed from Event Espresso core in 3.1.37. Please download and upload the Atos gateway to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways. Please see our documentation for more information. | Hide this message”

I use authorize.net as my gateway.

An example of the page that does not work is listed at the following link http://browardbiz.com/event-registration/?ee=506

I can hit the register button but only takes me to the lsiting page without details and without the ability to register and pay

Hi there,

It looks like the WordPress theme or another plugin is setting the content in the event page to visibility:hidden; and height: 0;

I’m not sure if it’s the theme, or another plugin.

What you could do is add a custom CSS style rule to override the above.

You install the Reaktiv CSS Builder plugin, then add this rule to the editor:

.clearfix {
visibility: visible !important;
height: auto;
}

Here’s a preview that shows the page with the above fix in place:

Well, can you switch to a different WordPress theme then? If you’re not able to add some CSS to fix your theme, that’s another option you have. The problem that you reported here is not caused by Event Espresso, so the fix will involve either a) fixing your WordPress theme, or b) changing the WordPress theme.

It has been working with this theme for many years. So If I pay Event Expresso a fee, can they go into my website and try and get the event registration up and running?

also, like I said in my first note to you, everything was working fine until I updated event expresso – maybe in the future people should not update their event expresso because things can go wrong when you do?

That’s not correct. The update did not cause the breakage. Your WordPress theme is causing the trouble. We’ll be happy to fix this for you, free of charge, if you can fill out the form on this page so that support staff can access your site.

I sent the log in information.

I fixed a couple things myself. I actually completed a registration and sale but no one else will be able to because the registration fields that need to be completed are invisible, you cannot find them. if you do find them and get to the payment stage the register and pay now buttons are invisible. Can you please help with this?

Hi there,

It turns out your theme was setting those input fields and buttons to have white text on a white background. We added some styles to override that so they can be seen.

Thank you so much!!!

I know this is not your responsibility, but when the site goes to event registration, the large image banner goes blank and grey. this used to work. Am I asking for too much for you to see if you can fix that?

Also, I would have bought extra add ons for Event Expresso if I had someone talented like you to install them. Can you see whats missing that we definately should have?? Like, we really want social sharing, etc….

THANKS AGAIN

Hi Chamber Guy,

The breakage you described appears to be an issue with the theme where if there is incorrect information that’s entiered for Latitude & Longitude for one of the businesses in the directory, other things like the banner will break. This isn’t something that we will fix for you. You can edit the information for the ARS / Rescue Rooter, specifically what’s in there for Latitude and Longitude, and that should result in the banner working again.

As far as the social add-on goes, that’s available as a separate purchase here:

https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-social/

You can also buy an install and configuration service here:
