When creating a new event I receive the error “Cannot Load Events”. A solution submitted to another user on these forums suggested upgrading to the current version. I am currently using Version 3.1.13.P. If the answer is that I need to update to the current version, how do I do this manually? Do I need to first deactivate the 3.1.13.P version and upload it manually? Or do I completely delete it? I am afraid of loosing my old event registrations and do not normally manually update, so any advice you can provide is appreciated.
Event Espresso 3.1.13.P is over one year old, and is not compatible with WordPress version 3.3 or higher. You can update the plugin manually by following this tutorial:
Please note that event registrations are stored in the database, they are not stored in the Event Espresso’s plugin files. Whenever updating either via the manual method, or automatically, it’s always recommended to create a backup of the database.
