Hi, If I look at the wp_option ee_active_messengers I have the following option values set ‘a:2:{s:5:”email”;a:2:{s:8:”settings”;a:1:{s:19:”email-message_types”;a:12:{s:7:”payment”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:14:”payment_refund”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:12:”registration”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:25:”not_approved_registration”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:16:”pending_approval”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:10:”newsletter”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:16:”payment_reminder”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:16:”payment_declined”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:21:”declined_registration”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:22:”cancelled_registration”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:14:”payment_failed”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}s:17:”payment_cancelled”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}}}s:13:”test_settings”;a:2:{s:2:”to”;s:27:”leslie.xxxxxx1900@gmail.com”;s:7:”subject”;s:40:”Test email sent from Stowe Sub Aqua Club”;}}s:3:”pdf”;a:1:{s:8:”settings”;a:0:{}}}’ If I reset the event espresso database I can see the HTML messenger is active – however I lose data so not an option I want to use if I can help. |

Do you see any error message while doing it? Can you show us what you did by recording it?. you can use loom to do it. Thanks |
There is no error – I just cannot enable the HTML messenger. |

Hmm, strange. Have you been updating the options within the DB manually? Which message types can you see in the ‘Default Message Templates’ section? |
So sorry, it seems a css issue. Did report it to our DEV. Please go here and place your mouse over here. once the mouse cursor change to to a hand sign, click it then click save. if it did not work, please fill this form and ill do it for you. https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ Thanks |
@Tony – No I have not been updating options in the Db manually. |
@Rio – I do not get a save option – see uploaded video. I have tried this with both Edge and Firefox. Note – on a clean install of EventEspresso (into a clean install of WordPress) I also do not get a save option – but I do get to see the messenger is active and I can see the expected panel with “Invoice” and “Receipt” |

OK, after discussing this with Rio, I see what he means as I’d missed it earlier. There’s a toggle switch for each message type and it looks like our styling has missed it. I’ve added some CSS locally to highlight the toggle on my site, it’s white on white so hard to see without it: https://monosnap.com/file/K50Pxd1aS5Ha15uqoa9JUVj98TzY9x Hover your mouse around where the right arrow is on this screenshot: https://monosnap.com/file/583mXmfGO1Gm84dnF7uhpm5Nz34pZj When the cursor changes to something else your in the right spot, click and it should enable the messenger. |
Thanks for that – took some finding to get the correct spot 🙂 |
Awesome! glad everything works fine now. have a wonderful day. |
