Have you installed or activated any new plugins or a different theme recently?
I would start by doing a troubleshooting test of deactivating all plugins except Event Espresso, see if the plugin works (edit an event) and if it does, bring your plugins back online one at a time, testing the event editing each time.
Generally in this sort of situation there is a conflict between another plugin and ours.
