Cannot create new price options or types or tickets in EE4

I am working on a new site (so it is a test site missing many new updates) and I am unable to create new base prices. I can create taxes or discount but not new base prices. I am not sure why. It isn’t even an option. Any ideas?

Hi, is your new site running the latest version of Event Espresso 4 at 4.4.3?

It would be best to start your project with the current software.

A new base price can’t be created. That amount is the default amount that is used for all new events. I can see where you might be confused on this so we’ll clarify in the help docs screen.

There is the default ticket option. Here is a demo of how to use it:

Once that event has been saved. It will be enabled.

Now when a new event is created, this new ticket will be used.

Lorenzo,
No, I cannot do updates because my license key has not been registered because I am running a test site.

I can’t create new prices at all. Anywhere, I am seeing some issues on the forum around WPEngine and I have no idea what that is. I cannot create new prices at all in anyway. The buttons do not work. The only base price and the settings buttons for new prices also don’t work. So I am unable to do what I see in the video because nothing happens when I click “new ticket” or the settings symbol.

Hi,

I replied here with more information:

You can remove the old version of Event Espresso and update to the new version manually. I would try that first and also test with only Event Espresso 4.4.3 running.

So, I learned I do not have WPEngine and I am still having this same issue. What would be the fix?

We can check into it.

First, are you on the latest software at 4.4.3?

If not, please manually upgrade.

Next, does the issue continue with only Event Espresso running?

I’m experiencing the exact same issue as well. My site is registered with GoDaddy but hosted on WPEngine.com. I know that GoDaddy is bad news with Espresso but wouldn’t being hosted on WPEngine solve that?

I have an error log generated from WPEngine. Who can I send that to?

Additionally, when trying to change the event visibility (for example) or trying to add more ticket options, nothing happens. It’s as if I am clicking on a dead link.

Also, I cannot figure out how to post a link to the PDF invoice on one of the static pages I created to hold certain content.

Lorenzo,
I have stated in every post that I have not been able to do updates because it is a test site. When I see you ask me in every post what I am running, I feel concerned because I want to be sure you are following what I am writing. I will look into the manual updating to 4.4.3 although I must admit, I have no idea how to do that. I am guessing it isn’t a huge deal.

There seems to be several threads talking about this issue and I again want to say, I am NOT using WPEngine. I am on iPower.

The issue does sound just like David’s issue. Same deal.

Turning off all plugins did nothing to change the issue.

A manual upgrade to the most recent EE has fixed this for me.

Hi @david,

Please open up a support ticket with WPEngine and let them know you’re seeing issues because of the way they are blocking the WordPress Heartbeat API. They fixed the same issue for my site that’s running on WPEngine. If the WPEngine support staff that’s assigned to your ticket doesn’t seem to know how to fix, you can let them know that Brandon Perry and Edwin know how to fix.
