Hello, I purchased and installed the Event Espresso plugin (Event Espresso v3.1.24.1.P) on my WordPress blog but every time I try to activate it, it does not work.

It sounds like the download may have been corrupted. Can you try downloading a fresh copy from your account page? (it should be a newer version now) Then try manually uploading the plugin over FTP, then activate.

Thanks for the reply.

It seems like this newer version does not work on the latest version of WordPress neither.

Maybe you should change the information you give on the “Requirements” page (https://eventespresso.com/requirements/), where it is written:

> You will need the following:

> A web host running PHP 5.2.4+

> MySQL 5.0+

> WordPress® v3.1+

> A PayPal account.

By reading this, I understood that the plugin is compatible with WordPress 3.1 and more recent versions, wheareas in the readme.txt file of the plugin, it is written “Tested up to: 3.1”.

Best regards,

Sorry for the confusion. The readme.txt file is wrong. We need to update that text. The plugin has been tested thoroughly on the latest versions of WordPress.

It sounds like there may be something else going on with the install. Possibly memory issues. Can you try increasing the RAM memory on the server? If you are not sure how to do this, your hosting provider may be able to help. Ithink the minimum requirements for running WP and EE are around 64mb, but that could be higher depending on your theme and how many other plugin you have installed.

Thanks for the advice. We have made some modifications and it looks like it works now.
