Hi I am looking at EE to manage an new events site I am building. Here is the basic concept of the site. The sites purpose is to list get fit events in their local area, eg coach to 5k programs. Most of the events will be free to attend but we want people to register. A few questions: Can we create event managers who are able to create new events only for their venue or area? They would not have access to events created by other users. Eg I can register as a trainer for venue X, I can create events for that venue only and I do not see the data for other events. Is this the staff manager plugin? yes I think that is only available in EE3? If so is there any staff control in EE4 or when will they be added? Is there global reports eg I can see how many people signed up for all events in one month. Thanks in advance. Brian |

Hi Brian, Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso. First off, EE4 can’t currently handle your needs, the features needed are not built into it as yet.
It depends on how you want it handled. For instance, is it a single registration that the customer is tied into for the X amount of time? Or is it multiple events that the user can sign up to random ones? Both can be done with Event Espresso, but you will likely want to look into the Recurring events Manager Addon if you need to create large blocks of events (it helps to automate the process). The only bit that get’s a little hazy is with the calendar. If you have a single event but with broken up times (2 days a week, etc) the calendar cannot handle that. There are workarounds for it though, involving creating multiple events and tying them to a single event for registration purposes.
Yes, absolutely, you will need Roles and Permissions Basic and Pro. Then you will be able to create regional managers. You add a locale to the manager and to a venue. Any event with that local will be able to be seen by any regional manager also with that locale. Locales don’t specifically need to be a physical location either, you could just as easily use a code or term or even the managers name.
There is basic reporting available – screenshot http://take.ms/cf1dS. Please let me know if you have more questions or need clarification on anything. |
