Hi there,

Is it possible for a user to cancel attending an event that he has attended to?

Officially no, there isn’t.

It is possible to do if you are using the WP User Integration add-on if using the ‘My Events’ section:

You can add another ‘action’ to that section which will allow the user to cancel their registration.

There is a link on the ticket email that says cancel/update information, but the page has no cancel possibility.

That doesn’t sound correct as you can’t cancel registrations by default.

Which specific email is this, please? Can you add a screenshot?

That text (and link) isn’t included in the email by default so that’s been manually added.

It looks like the Registration Approved email but from the small image included I can’t be sure.

Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message templates (assuming you aren’t using custom templates) -> Registration Approved.

Click on the ‘Edit Registrant’ link.

In the [EVENT_LIST] section, can you see that text?

If not, switch to the ‘Primary Registrant’ context (see HERE) do you see it in the [EVENT_LIST] section there?

Ok, so that text is’nt from Event Espresso by default and has been added to the email manually.

You can change the text shown in your screenshot to something more suitable such as ‘Click here to edit your registration’.

Registrations can not be cancelled from the front end via a link like the above.
