Hi there! I’m having a weird bug since the last update where any registrations that are cancelled appear as “overpaid” in red, their TKT price is changed to “free”, and the Final Price and Total Txn is changed to “$0.00”. In 1/10 cases, Total Txn remains normal.

It’s not creating any urgent issues, but it confused our accountant 🙂 Are there any other reports of this? Thanks!

Hi there,

Are you not refunding the transaction when the registration is cancelled?

We recently made changes to EE to allow a cancelled registration to alter the transaction total amount due, basically if you cancel a registration that registration will show as 0 amount due, so a group registration can continue with with the current transaction. This means that cancelling a single registration that has a payment assigned will show as overpaid.

In 1/10 cases, Total Txn remains normal.

Can you explain this further please?

Ah, that makes sense then – we have a no refund policy, so no, we are not issuing refunds. Is there any way to correct it showing overpaid then? I suppose we can just ignore it, but it is a bit confusing.

As to the total txn issue, I realized that in some cases the total taxation isn’t $0.00 as it’s still reflecting other purchases made in the same transaction that are not cancelled.

Thanks!

Not currently, within the transaction EE see a payment for a registration that has 0 amount owing so its correct in showing overpaid. However I do understand this can be confusing and will create a ticket for our developers to discuss this.

Ah yes, so with those transactions you’ll see what is expected to happen. The total amount due within the transaction will reduce by the amount of the cancelled transaction.
