Can you (administrator) apply a promotion after the transaction is completed?

Has anyone had this come up before? We set up a promotion, didn’t quite do it right, the first person who used it paid the full price. I’d like to be able to give her a credit/refund of the promotion value, but all I see is a full refund option.

Hello,

You could refund the amount for the promotion in your merchant account (e.g. PayPal account or Stripe account) and then apply a partial refund in Event Espresso.

Login to your WP dashboard and go to to Event Espresso –> Transactions. Then look for the specific transaction and click-through on it. Then look for the payments area and you’ll see a refund button. Click on that and apply a partial refund while keeping the registration status the same and then save changes to apply.

Note that these are two separate steps. That is, a refund in Event Espresso will not make automatic changes in your merchant account.
