Can we prevent caching error that generates "form data cannot be applied" error

My client just had an incident where a registrant who was registering 1 main and 7 additional registrants got a “Your form data cannot be applied to any valid registrations” error. They switched from Chrome to Explorer and had no problem, leading me to believe it was a random caching error. Is there any way to prevent that caching error before it triggers the error?

You should be able to disable caching for that web page. Is your host one of those managed WP styled hosts where they serve the web pages from a cache?
