That is possible using the Multiple Event Registration (MER) add on. MER allows your users to add numerous events to a cart, on clicking the cart they will see a similar screen to what you linked to http://d.pr/i/sJyl. Obviously our default styles are different but you can change those.
We also have a shortcode available that could be used to add events in en masse to the cart, so you could for example have a single link that can add them for the user.
another question: is there a way to purchase products (tshirt, mug, etc) that, for instance, might be related to an event? so, if a user registers for an event, can you add products together with the event fee? does event espresso offer that? or is there another plugin that can integrate with event espresso?
There isn’t anything specifically built in to do that, but I would suggest looking at the Price Modifier add on, available in the Pre Release channel.
This uses questions to modify the price, so you could add a question asking if they want a t-shirt and if they do it will increase the price by the set amount.
This is part of the registration so no extra name/email required. As it is a Beta release we cannot guarantee fully compatibility with all the add ons.
