I’m using the Iced Mocha theme, which is apparently a child theme of Twenty Fourteen. As I needed a couple of tweaks, I’ve tried to follow these instructions https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes to create a child theme of Iced Mocha That would then be a ‘grandchild’ of Twenty Fourteen. However, that does not seem to work. The layout becomes all messed up. Perhaps ‘grandchilding’ is not possible? Or should it be possible and have I made a mistake somewhere?

Hi Joost,

It turns out Iced Mocha is a standalone theme, it’s not a child theme of twentyfourteen. At least, the one from Github isn’t (you can tell it’s not a child theme by reviewing the header information in its style.css file).

This means you can make a child theme based off Iced Mocha.

Thanks Josh,

I checked my implementation and found my error.
