EE is up an running and working well on our site. It’s really impressive. However, here’s a situation that just came up.
If I want to add attendees for an event manually (through the back end) but don’t want them to pay the full price, how do I get their payment?
For example, if I’m charging $100 for an event but I want certain people to attend and only pay $50 I want to add these people myself. When I add an attendee there is a box for “amount paid.” I can put any amount in that box and they’ll receive an email confirmation. But how do they pay? I haven’t collected any money from these attendees yet, I just want to add them to the event list but they will still need to pay.
Also, I don’t want to give these people a promo code just so that I can keep other people from using that same promo code.
In any case, my main question is if I add attendees meyself, how do I collect payment from them?
We’re using Paypal. People sign up and pay after clicking the paypal “pay now” button.
If we add attendees ourselves then how do we get paid by them? I mean, we use paypal for the “regular” attendees. If we add people ourselves to the list, yes they get added, but where does payment come in?
You can’t request a payment using that feature but if you are using PayPal then you can send a payment request through your PayPal account.
