I am having trouble adding a second ticket to my event.
We already sold 4 taxed tickets. We now want to sell an additional 8 tickets without tax. When I duplicate my existing ticket, I can’t seem to edit the settings of it. I will reply with a video to show you what I mean.

Just found my old support post around a similar issue. https://eventespresso.com/topic/two-ticket-types-taxed-and-non-taxed/

Having a look at it now.

I see the issue I am facing now is a bit different than my previous post. Help still needed. =)

Since posting this, it seems I was successful in adding in a no tax ticket but now I face two new issues: https://snipboard.io/hGU64X.jpg

How can I delete the second datetime I created in error?
And it is not letting me change the quantity of the no tax ticket from 4 to 8.

We solved the issue of not being able to update the quantity to 8. That is done now. ๐Ÿ™‚
All that remains is the removal of the second date time.

Hi John,

How can I delete the second datetime I created in error?

You cannot delete the date-time because you already have four registrations in that date-time.
If you want to delete the date-time then you need to delete the associated transaction and registration then you can delete the datetime.

And it is not letting me change the quantity of the no tax ticket from 4 to 8.

Do you see any error in the console while changing the quantity? Can you please make a video of the issue?

Thanks for the response, Sam.
Sorry for the delay.

The issue of changing ticket quantity from 4 to 8 has been resolved.

All that remains is the duplicate datetime.

I understand what you mean about not being able to delete a datetime that has 4 sold. That makes sense But the thing is.. all I did was duplicate the existing datetime that had 4 sold and the ‘4 sold’ copied over to the second datetime.

Hi John,

Thank you for letting us know about the issue, I can reproduce this in my installation and created an issue for our developers to test.

For now, you can change to the advanced editor under EE > Default Settings > Activate Advanced Editor > Select the Advanced Editor and save the changes.

Now you can go to the required event and delete your required date time without any issue: https://tinyurl.com/24k6x2wo

Hope that helps.

Hi John,

Upon further discussion with our team, I got to the point for which you are facing the issue.
So as the registration counts are associated with ticket sales, what you see is because you have the same tickets assigned to both DateTime. Both DateTimes have both tickets, so that is to be expected.

If you un-assign one of the tickets that have sales from one of the DateTimes, you will see that the quantity sold for the DateTime will change by the amount of the ticket sales for the ticket you un-assigned.
