Has this functionality been added to EE4 since then? In other words, is there an option (or parameter) we can add to have alternative registration page/link launch in a separate window?

Hi Jeff,
This hasn’t been added as a feature, but you can force links to open in a new window/tab by adding a target="_blank" parameter. So for example, there are links on the page that shows the Events List table, and you can change it so the Alternative registration links include the parameter.
You’ll find some example code in this gist, that you can add to your website:
