In Spain even refunds are meant to be given an invoice number. We have had someone code to give us special details on our invoices. The question is , is it possible to give a refund that generates an invoice number , sequential with those actually given for paid ticket invoices ?

Hello,
Can you tell us what invoice are you referring too? Is it the one generated by your payment merchant(paypal/stripe/etc) or the Notes and accounting section in EE?

This the refund process.
Part 1 – apply refund in Event Espresso’s transactions details screen
First, login to your WordPress dashboard. Then go to Event Espresso –> Transactions.
Now you’ll need to find the Transactions in the list. Then click on the ID or the date for the transaction and this will take you to the transaction details screen.
Scroll down to the payment details area and you should see the payment. Now click on the Apply Refund button in the bottom right corner of the payment details area. Then enter any information related to the payment and save changes to update this transaction.
Part 2 – Complete the refund in your PayPal.com account or payment method used.

Hiya. No that wasn’t the question.
If I follow those steps to generate a refund, in Spain that refund should be given an ‚invoice‘ number, sequential with the invoice numbering at that time so that eg
Inv 24456 – ticket purchase
Inv 24457 – ticket purchase
Inv 24458 – refund
Inv 24459 – ticket purchase
As mentioned, we have added code to generate this type of invoice numbering as the transaction id is not sufficient für tax purposes here. Is it possible to add code that would do this?

Hello. That also wasn’t the question. My question was simply if this would be possible? I didn’t ask if someone there could do it for me. There is no point me paying someone to try and code something that can’t work.
My question again – is it possible for this to be coded?

Are you referring to creating a separate invoice for a refund?
If so unfortunately there is no such option for now to create a separate invoice for a refund.

Hiya. I still don’t think you’re answering my question. I know it currently doesn’t exist as an option. Would it be possible using personalised code to create this?
The reason for the question is that it might be purely impossible to link the data in this way, or maybe yes. If yes, then I can try and find someone who can code it.
