Hi Jessica,

I’m looking at your site right now. It looks like there are pages that are set up to display a calendar for each location. Is that correct?

Can you tell me what the shortcode is that’s entered for this page here:

http://thecbroom.com/wp2/locations/chicago/

I’m thinking that this event would be expected to display in the Chicago calendar:

http://thecbroom.com/wp2/event-registration/?ee=23

Is that correct?

Since this event already happened, it might help to add the show_expired=true parameter to the calendar shortcode. If you can let us know if you are trying to filter each calendar by category this information may help too.

Hi Jessica,

What are the shortcodes that you are using for these calendar pages? If you are using the category parameter with these (like in the case of the Chicago calendar) are there events that are assigned to the categories.

If you set up a page with a shortcode with no category filtering, which would be:

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR]

does it display events?

It could be the theme. In some instances we’ve seen it where the dates do not get formatted correctly when they’re are entered in the event editor because the theme adds its own datepicker that changes the format of the date to something that Event Espresso can’t use.

You can check the format of the start/end and registration start/end dates that were input in the site where the events are not displaying in the calendar.

The date format that Event Espresso will use is:

YYYY-MM-DD

My calendar will not show anything but the controls.

I have deactivated all plugins except Event Espresso Version 3.1.34.P and Event Espresso – Calendar Version 1.10.
I am running WordPress version 3.6.

I have tried the default wordpress theme, but it looks exactly the same.

What am I doing wrong??
I know that I do not have any events to register for until August 15th, but the calendar should still be showing so that people can look through the months and register, right?

I am using this shortcode: [RAW][ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=”month”][/RAW]
I have also tried it without [raw], but then the controls do not show.

Interesting thread here. Are you seeing them show up in any of the other views? Take a look at my Find A Class link below.

EE Support team, I have a similar setup and up until last week was seeing events getting added to the Calendar. You can see this on our homepage and in the links below. Now we are seeing that even when we create event records in the future, they are not showing up in the event.

WP 3.6
Calendar 2.0.6.1
EE – 3.1.34.P

http://shakesquared.com/fitness-classes/find-a-class/?ee=220 – Active Event in the past (kept open based on registration times)

Thank you for your guidance!

This reply is for Amanda:

It looks like you need to download and install the latest version of the calendar add-on. The 1.10 version of the calendar is about 2 years old and isn’t compatible with the newer version of jQuery that ships with WordPress 3.5 and 3.6.

This reply is for Brandon:

It would be best to start a new thread on this. Here are a few things you can check and let us know how it goes in the other thread:

You can check the format of the dates entered, they should be YYYY-MM-DD.

The Calendar settings has a throttling option. This should be turned off.
