Copy and past the category’s ‘Unique Category Identifier’ into that field. You’ll need to navigate to the Manage event categories editor screen to get the unique category identifier.
Michael – I’m not an expert but don’t you just adjust the shortcodes to suit what you want to display? (guide is on the ‘Calendar settings’ page) – eg:
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR]
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=”true”]
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR event_category_id=”your_category_identifier”]
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR event_category_id=”your_category_identifier” show_expired=”true”]
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=”month”] (Available parameters: month, basicWeek, basicDay, agendaWeek, agendaDay)
Thanks for the response. I got the calendar shortcodes working correctly on a page. What I’m having problems with is the widget. The Event Espresso Calendar widget is in my sidebar but for some reason no calendar is showing. Even after I entered a category identifier.
When you set up the calendar Widget, did you enter a page ID or page slug for the calendar page? The calendar widget will not display if that field is empty.
