Can you have a list view for the calendar that also has the thumbnail?
If so, how you you use it for specific venues?

Hi Dorian,
It turns out that the calendar add-on only displays a calendar view. You can use the Events table view template add-on to display a list view.
While the thumbnail isn’t included out of the box, there are some customization guides in the documentation and one of them shows how to add the event thumbnail to the list.

That view is very plain looking. Is there a way to customize the page? I know I can, but when updates come out, they will be overwritten. Is there a way around that?

If you copy the template file to your WordPress theme, updates will not overwrite your changes.
