Hi We’ve newly installed EE4 and are trying to get the calendar working in German. WP is latest release. It seem that the month and day names are not translated or not pulled from the file. Can you confirm this? Thanks, |

Hi, You will need the langauge packages, which are downloadable from here: https://github.com/eventespresso/languages-ee4 Be careful here, Github’s downloading methods are a bit weird: To download the PO file – left click the link on the main page and then right click the Raw button in the top right of the page that comes up and save as. To download the MO file – left click the link on the main page, and then left click the View Raw text link in the middle of the page that comes up. If you don’t do this you may end up with a MO and PO file that contains garbage data and the language wont work. You will need to add them to wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/ Please note that the language files may not be complete so you may need to use a program like Poedit (it’s free from poedit.net)to add in additional translations (I know that the weekdays are not complete as I tested them today). |

Thanks Dean. As I see the translation status is at 8% (!). With this as a status it is just not acceptable to go live. Thanks |

Hi, I merged the EE3 strings into the EE4 language packs about 2 months ago. Because EE4 has been written from the ground up, most of the wording has changed and there is a bunch of new strings in there. As such the only option going forward is to translate EE4. We rely on community members to help translate the plugin. If you are interested in becoming a translator, please feel free to fill out this form – https://eventespresso.com/features/languages (at the bottom). |

I get it. As I see, I’m still on the list for German. You might want to update this, other users might get caught in the same trap as we. 43% was acceptable for buying EE4, but not 8%. https://eventespresso.com/features/languages Now we’re stuck. To far ahead to go back. Thats… |

Thank you for pointing that out, it was a previous version of EE4 which had less strings. I will get that updated. |
