Event Espresso version 3.1.36.4.P When loading the calendar, Chrome throws an error… The calendar displays a blank calendar (the events don’t load) – but it works in Firefox and other browsers. URL: http://www.force-e.com/events-travel/local-events/ Here’s what I see in Chrome Tools… I believe this is an error?

Hi Howard, This looks to be caused from the way that the scripts are being combined and minified together. So what can end up happening is the calendar code that can’t work with the methods/functions inside the jQuery libraries. It looks like it’s using cloudflare/rocket.js to combine/minify the scripts. Do they have an option that lets you set it so specific scripts don’t get combined with the other scripts? If so, you can set it to not combine the calendar plugin’s espresso_calendar.js file and that should fix the issue you’re seeing. |

Hi Josh, Thanks for your response. I’ve disabled cloudflare globally for this site, and it still seems to be hanging. Thanks. |
I checked, and it is still hanging. There are a few possible causes to this issue. You can rule these out one by one: |

We were recently having similar issues with the calendar not displaying properly in chrome. FYI – I’ve deactivated the “jetpack” plugin, and that seems to help. |
|
except now I’ve lost all of my jetpack settings and a number of features throughout my website… |
Hi there, If you re-activate Jetpack and go to its main settings page, you can selectively disable specific features. It may be only one feature of the Jetpack plugin that’s causing the conflict. If you narrow the cause of the breakage down to one feature, then you can use all of its other features with no calendar issues. |
