It seems the wordpress template I’m working with may be causing a problem with the calendar showing. It is pulling the code in, but at every linebreak it is wrapping the calendar code in I tried wrapping the calendar in and even with but the issue still exists.

What can i do to fix this?

I am running the latest release version with this theme:
http://themeforest.net/item/care-medical-and-health-blogging-wordpress-theme/868243

Hi Alan,

We advise people to read lightly with Themeforest themes as though some of them are great, a lot tend not to follow WordPress coding standards.

I couldnt find the calendar page on the site you have on file but I would advise you to look for javascript errors, that is generally the issue. You can also try wrapping the shortcode in [raw][/raw] tags if the theme supports it and also check the theme functions to see if there is code similar to this and if so disable it

So it looks like that fixed the issue, but in firefox it seems to lag pretty hard. The page that it is currently on is @ http://carerightinc.com/wpdemo/events/

How can I check to see what is causing the hangup?

Hi,

Glad it is fixed!

I saw no major speed lags on FF or Chrome (current versions) but you are loading 27 different javascript files on that page alone.

That could be the issue 😉 Also on the topic of the calendar, in the events category you can choose a background color for each. Does this propagate to the calendars? I changed the background colors on each of my items, but I don’t see any pages where this is working?

Hi Alan,

I checked and the event on April 30 is a different color. Is that event in a different category?

Can you point to a specific example of an event that has been assigned to an event category where the color isn’t changing as expected so we can investigate further?

Ah! I tracked down the problem, All of those events I imported with the .csv import to the database and the categories have not been set! (which doesnt allow me to assign that value, which is my question in another thread)

The event on April 30th is the only one I hadn’t deleted because there are customers signed up for that particular seminar.

Thanks for your help, you guys have been awesome with your support requests. On a sidenote, do you guys offer customization services?

The reason I ask is the calendar lacks a “View By Category” where you could check and uncheck what you want display on the active view as well as it does not offer an “Agenda” view for the month (If you view google calendar you will see what i am talking about)
