We are currently running Calendar 2.0.3 and EE 3.1.24.3 on Cajun Canvas. The trouble is, whenever you go to that page, the events overlap AND spill out of their respective days. We are currently using the Catalyst Theme, but we have tried switching to Twenty Eleven to see if it would cure the issue to no avail. Any suggestions?

Just to clarify… This happens in Firefox, IE, AND Chrome.

On another quick note… We did try to revert to Calendar 2.0.1 as well as disabling all non-EE plugins with same results.

There may be a few issues with thumbnail images on the new calendar. If you can send the site’s URL via the contact form we can take a look. We do not need admin access in this instance: https://eventespresso.com/contact/

Select the “I am sending login info as requested” department form.

Try setting the calendar setting to draw the calendar at a height of around 1800 pixels.

Changing the calendar height didn’t fix anything. The events still overlap when you go to the calendar. It takes navigating ahead or behind a month and then back to the current to get the overlap to go away. Getting a ton of complaints about the issue at this point.

This is a known issue that we’ve been fighting with for the past 3 months. For now, my recommendation would be to pick one event per day to have an image and not use images on the other events on that day. We will be ripping out this calendar script in favor of a more robust calendar moving forward (it will probably be the first thing we start looking at after 3.2 is complete).

Think I will see if my resident WP ninja can reinstall the Beta 3.2 & calendar we were using. We had it working properly with no overlap. The only issue was that the reporting in the Beta 3.2 wasn’t functional. It was the reason we went to the current install since the picture function had been added in.

This does raise a question – why do you think the Beta release had no bugs with the calendar pics yet the current install does? Just something to think about. I know that our client cannot drop the pics since each event is centered around a painting that her clients do in a class. It was the entire reason for choosing EE, the eventual capability to have pics in the calendar.

Just as a reference, the Beta versions we are testing out are EE 3.2.1914 and Calendar 2.0.8 – He has now turned them back on so you might check it out to see the diff with the current releases. He did have to add a bit of CSS span.thumb-wrap {width: 133px;} to deal with the images compressing to the left, but it was a nice easy fix.

That’s an older version of 3.2 than what we’re currently on, but that’s probably roughly around the time the Calendar was first added. That version of the calendar is probably actually older than what the version would indicate as well (the 0.8 may be referring to a revision # as opposed to an actual version release #, which is what the .1914 is referencing), so that’s probably earlier in the development as well. We can do a diff and see what things changed in the process. Thanks for testing and posting that info — it should be helpful.
